Néoplatonisme

Néoplatonisme, or Neoplatonism, is a philosophical movement originating in the 3rd century CE that builds on Plato's ideas. It proposes that there's a single, ultimate Reality called "The One" from which everything else derives. This Reality is perfect and beyond human comprehension. The material world is seen as a lesser, imperfect reflection of this higher reality. Humans can achieve spiritual ascent and understanding through meditation, virtue, and philosophical contemplation, ultimately uniting with "The One." Neoplatonism influenced Christian, Jewish, and Islamic thought, emphasizing the unity of existence and the importance of spiritual development.
