N-1 rocket
An N-1 rocket refers to the Soviet Union's large, heavy-lift launch vehicle developed in the 1960s to reach the Moon. It consisted of multiple booster stages working together to propel its heavy payload into space. The "N-1" designation indicates it was part of a series of rockets, with "N" representing a specific version. Despite its advanced design, the N-1 faced several failures during testing, ultimately preventing it from achieving lunar missions. It was an ambitious effort to compete with other Moon programs but was discontinued after four unsuccessful launches.
