Myocardial Bridge

A myocardial bridge is a condition where a segment of a coronary artery, which supplies blood to the heart muscle, tunnels through the heart tissue instead of resting on its surface. During heart contractions, this "embedded" section can get compressed, temporarily narrowing the artery and reducing blood flow. Many people with a myocardial bridge experience no symptoms, but in some cases, it may cause chest pain, abnormal heart rhythms, or other cardiac issues. It is usually detected through imaging studies like angiography and may require monitoring or treatment if symptoms occur.
