Mylotarg (Gemtuzumab ozogamicin)

Mylotarg (Gemtuzumab ozogamicin) is a targeted cancer therapy used to treat a specific type of blood cancer called acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It combines an antibody that recognizes cancer cells with a powerful drug that kills them. Once Mylotarg attaches to the cancer cell, it delivers the drug directly inside, helping to destroy the cancer from within while minimizing damage to healthy cells. It is typically used in adults and certain children with AML, especially when other treatments haven't worked.
