Mycenaean Greek culture
Mycenaean Greek culture, flourishing around 1600–1100 BCE, was a Bronze Age civilization centered in mainland Greece. They built impressive palaces, practiced advanced pottery and metallurgy, and engaged in trade across the Mediterranean. Their society was hierarchical, with warrior kings ruling through complex administration. Mycenaeans contributed to early Greek mythology and influenced later Greek culture. They left behind elaborate tombs, like tholos tombs, and Linear B tablets, an early form of Greek writing, revealing their administrative and economic details. Their culture was a precursor to classical Greece, blending warfare, religion, and artistic achievement.
