MVNO
An MVNO, or Mobile Virtual Network Operator, is a company that provides mobile phone services without owning its own wireless network infrastructure. Instead, it leases network access from a major carrier (like Verizon or AT&T) and then sells services to customers under its own brand. This allows MVNOs to offer competitive pricing, unique plans, or specialized services while relying on the established network infrastructure of larger providers. Think of it as a retailer reselling a product—MVNOs resell network access. They handle customer service, branding, and marketing, but the actual network operations are managed by the larger carrier.
