Musikverket

Musikverket, or the National Library of Swedish Recorded Sound and Music Archives, is Sweden's central institution for preserving and providing access to recorded music and sound recordings. It collects, catalogs, and conserves a vast collection of music-related materials, including recordings, sheet music, and other media. Its mission is to safeguard Sweden’s musical heritage, support research, and ensure that both historic and contemporary recordings remain accessible for future generations. By doing so, Musikverket plays a vital role in maintaining the country’s cultural memory and supporting music education and scholarship.
