Muscular System
The muscular system comprises all the muscles in your body that enable movement, stability, and crucial functions like blood circulation and digestion. There are three types: skeletal muscles, which move bones; smooth muscles, found in organs like the stomach; and cardiac muscle, which pumps blood through the heart. Muscles work by contracting (shortening) and relaxing, often in pairs, to produce movement or maintain posture. They also generate heat to help maintain body temperature. Overall, the muscular system is vital for performing daily activities, supporting posture, and sustaining life processes.
