Muscogee

The Muscogee, also known as the Creek, are a Native American people originally from the southeastern United States, particularly present-day Georgia and Alabama. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes distinctive language, traditional crafts, and a historic connection to important social and political structures. The Muscogee Nation was formed in the 18th century, uniting several tribes. Following European colonization, many were forcibly relocated during the Trail of Tears in the 1830s. Today, they maintain their identity and culture, with a tribal government, ceremonies, and a focus on preserving their history and traditions.
