Muruwari

Muruwari is an Indigenous Australian language traditionally spoken by the Muruwari people in western Queensland and parts of New South Wales. It belongs to the Pama–Nyungan language family, one of the largest Indigenous language groups in Australia. The language is an important cultural and linguistic heritage, contributing to the identity and history of the Muruwari community. Efforts are underway to revive and preserve Muruwari through language programs and cultural initiatives, helping to maintain this unique aspect of Australia’s diverse Indigenous heritage.
