Mundari language
Mundari is an Austroasiatic language spoken primarily by the Mundari people in eastern India, mainly in Jharkhand and parts of Odisha. It has unique phonetic and grammatical features and is used in everyday communication, traditional rituals, and oral storytelling. Though it shares some similarities with neighboring languages, Mundari maintains distinct vocabulary and pronunciation. It is written using both Latin and Devanagari scripts, but primarily relies on oral transmission. Recognized as a vital part of the Mundari people's cultural identity, efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote its use amid increasing language diversity in the region.
