Mumbai High
Mumbai High is an offshore oilfield located in the Arabian Sea, approximately 170 kilometers west of Mumbai, India. It is one of India's largest and most significant oil and natural gas producing sites. The field consists of underwater platforms that extract these resources from beneath the seabed. The oil and gas are then transported via pipelines to onshore facilities for refining and distribution. Operational since the 1980s, Mumbai High plays a crucial role in India's energy supply, contributing substantially to the country's domestic oil production and reducing dependence on imports.
