Multispecies ethnography
Multispecies ethnography is a research approach that explores the relationships between humans and other species in their shared environments. It emphasizes understanding the perspectives, behaviors, and ecological roles of non-human beings—such as animals, plants, and microorganisms—considering them as active participants in social and ecological systems. This perspective challenges human-centered views by highlighting interconnectedness and mutual influence, encouraging a more holistic understanding of biodiversity, coexistence, and the way different species shape and are shaped by their environments.
