multiple intelligences (Howard Gardner)

Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences suggests that people have different kinds of intelligences, or ways of understanding and skills. Instead of one single measure of intelligence, he identifies several types, such as linguistic (word skills), logical-mathematical (numbers and reasoning), musical (music and rhythm), bodily-kinesthetic (movement and coordination), spatial (visualizing images), interpersonal (understanding others), intrapersonal (self-awareness), and naturalist (nature). Each person may excel in some areas more than others, highlighting the diversity of human abilities and learning styles. This approach encourages recognizing and nurturing each individual's unique strengths.
