Multipathing

Multipathing is a technique used in computer systems to ensure reliable data transfer between a server and storage devices. Instead of relying on a single connection, multiple paths are established, allowing the system to send and receive data through different routes. If one path fails or encounters a problem, the system automatically switches to an alternative route without interruption. This enhances fault tolerance, improves performance, and ensures continuous access to critical data, much like having multiple roads between two locations so traffic can be rerouted if one road is closed.
