Multi-signature
Multi-signature, or multi-sig, is a security feature that requires multiple parties to approve a transaction before it’s executed. Think of it like a safe that needs several keys to open—no single person can access the contents alone. In digital terms, a multi-sig wallet requires a set number of authorized signatures (from different owners) to authorize a transfer or action. This adds an extra layer of security, reduces the risk of theft or fraud, and ensures collaborative control over digital assets, making it especially useful in organizations or shared accounts.
