Muhammad I

Muhammad I, also known as Muhammad ibn Nasr, was the founder of the Nasrid Dynasty and the first ruler of the Emirate of Granada in medieval Spain, beginning his reign in 1238. He is credited with establishing Granada as a significant Muslim stronghold during the Reconquista and for fostering cultural and economic growth. His leadership laid the groundwork for the flourishing of Al-Andalus under his successors.
