Muhammad Bello

Muhammad Bello was a prominent 19th-century Nigerian scholar, military leader, and administrator. He was the son of Usman dan Fodio, the founder of the Sokoto Caliphate, a powerful Islamic empire in West Africa. Bello played a key role in expanding and strengthening the caliphate’s territory, political structure, and Islamic culture.
