Mucinous cystadenoma

Mucinous cystadenoma is a benign (non-cancerous) ovarian tumor made up of large, fluid-filled sacs called cysts. These cysts contain thick, mucus-like fluid and can grow quite large. It typically occurs in women of reproductive age and often causes few or no symptoms, but some may experience pelvic fullness or discomfort. While generally benign, they require medical evaluation to monitor for size or potential complications. Treatment usually involves surgical removal to prevent growth or other issues, and the prognosis is excellent once removed.
