Mt. Kailash

Mount Kailash is a sacred mountain located in Tibet, standing about 6,638 meters (21,800 feet) high. It is considered a spiritual center by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon practitioners, who believe it is the abode of gods and a place for spiritual pilgrimage. The mountain has a distinctive shape and remains largely untouched by human activity, symbolizing purity and enlightenment. Pilgrims perform circumnavigations around its base, often on foot, as an act of devotion. Despite its sacred status, no climbing is allowed, preserving its peaceful and revered presence in the high Himalayas.
