MSRB
The MSRB, or Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, is a nonprofit organization that creates rules to regulate the fair and transparent functioning of the municipal securities market—markets where cities, states, and other government entities raise funds by issuing bonds. Its goal is to protect investors and ensure integrity by establishing standards for broker-dealers and banks involved in these transactions. The MSRB develops and enforces rules about disclosures, trading practices, and reporting requirements, promoting confidence and efficiency in the municipal bond market for all participants.
