MPR (Multi-Planar Reconstruction)

Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR) is a technique used in medical imaging to create detailed, cross-sectional views of the body from 3D scans like CT or MRI. Instead of viewing images in only one plane (such as horizontal), MPR allows clinicians to generate images in multiple orientations—sagittal (side view), coronal (front view), and axial (top-down). This helps doctors better examine structures, diagnose conditions, and plan treatments by providing a comprehensive, flexible perspective of the internal anatomy from the same scan data.
