MPOWER

MPOWER is a strategy developed by the World Health Organization to combat tobacco use. It stands for six key actions: Monitor tobacco use and policies, Protect people from secondhand smoke, Offer help to quit smoking, Warn about the dangers of tobacco, Enforce bans on advertising, and Raise taxes on tobacco products. Together, these steps aim to reduce smoking rates by discouraging use, limiting exposure, and making it easier for people to quit. MPOWER provides a comprehensive framework for governments and organizations to implement effective tobacco control measures.
