Mount Wakakusa
Mount Wakakusa is a gentle-size hill located in the city of Nara, Japan. It rises about 300 meters (985 feet) above the surrounding area and offers panoramic views of Nara and its famous parks. The mountain is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking and picnicking. Each year, a traditional event called the Wakakusa Yamayaki takes place, where the grass on the mountain is set on fire in a controlled burn, creating a spectacular display of flames and smoke. The mountain's serene atmosphere and cultural significance make it a notable outdoor spot near historical temples and deers roaming freely in Nara Park.
