Mount Tongariro is an active volcano located in New Zealand's North Island, part of the Tongariro National Park. Standing at 1,968 meters (6,453 feet), it features a rugged, volcanic landscape with craters, lava flows, and vibrant volcanic ash. The mountain is renowned for its striking scenery, including the Emerald Lakes, which are caused by mineral-rich volcanic activity.
