Mount Moriah (Biblical location)
Mount Moriah is a biblical location traditionally identified as the site where Abraham was tested by God to sacrifice his son Isaac, as described in Genesis. Later, it is believed to be the site of King Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem, making it a significant religious and historical place for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The area is associated with themes of faith and divine intervention and remains a sacred site, especially within Jewish and Christian traditions. Today, it’s located beneath the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem’s Old City.
