Mount Midas
Mount Midas is a volcanic mountain located in Antarctica, specifically on the continent’s Marie Byrd Land. It features a prominent summit and is part of a range with multiple volcanic vents. Like other volcanoes, it was formed by molten rock (magma) rising from beneath the Earth's surface, which solidified over time. Though it is mostly dormant, its geological history offers insights into the volcanic activity and tectonic processes of the region. Due to its remote location, Mount Midas is mostly studied through satellite imaging and limited field expeditions.
