Mount Kenya is Africa’s second-highest peak, located near the equator in central Kenya. It's a massive stratovolcano, formed by volcanic activity over millions of years. The mountain has several peaks, with Batian and Nelion being the highest, reaching over 5,200 meters (17,000 feet). Its diverse ecosystem includes lush forests, alpine meadows, and glaciers, supporting unique flora and fauna. Mount Kenya is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, important culturally and environmentally, and attracts climbers and trekkers worldwide.
