
Mount Hesperus (Dibé Nitsaa)
Mount Hesperus, known as Dibé Nitsaa in Navajo, is a prominent volcanic peak in southwestern Colorado. Standing about 13,000 feet tall, it's part of the Four Corners region's volcanic field. The mountain formed approximately 20 million years ago from volcanic activity, resulting in a volcanic dome composed mainly of rhyolite.
