Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (MVMA)

The Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (MVMA) was a trade organization representing automobile manufacturers in the United States. It aimed to promote the interests of car makers, coordinate industry standards, and advocate for policies favorable to vehicle manufacturing. The MVMA also provided industry data, supported safety initiatives, and worked to improve the quality and safety of vehicles. In 1999, it merged into the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, which continues to serve similar functions today.
