Motivation-Opportunity-Ability (MOA) Model

The Motivation-Opportunity-Ability (MOA) Model explains how behavior changes happen. It suggests that for someone to act in a certain way, three things must align: motivation (the desire to do it), opportunity (having the chances or environment to do it), and ability (the skills or knowledge needed). If any one of these is missing, the behavior is less likely to occur. This model helps organizations design strategies by ensuring people are motivated, have the right chance, and are capable of performing the desired behavior.
