motion of the Earth

The Earth moves in two main ways: it's rotating around its axis, which causes day and night, completing one rotation approximately every 24 hours. At the same time, Earth orbits the Sun in a nearly circular path, taking about 365.25 days to complete one orbit, creating the seasons. This orbit is slightly tilted, resulting in varying angles of sunlight throughout the year. Together, these motions shape our experience of time, weather, and seasons, and are fundamental to understanding Earth's place in the solar system.
