Moths
Moths are insects belonging to the order Lepidoptera, related to butterflies. They typically have soft bodies, feathery or thick antennae, and wing scales that create diverse patterns and colors. Most moths are nocturnal, using their wing patterns for camouflage and protection from predators. Their life cycle includes egg, larva (caterpillar), pupa, and adult stages. Moths play important roles in ecosystems as pollinators and as part of the food chain. Some species can be pests, damaging fabrics or stored food, but many are beneficial and contribute to biodiversity.
