Mosquito breeding sites
Mosquito breeding sites are places where female mosquitoes lay their eggs, typically in stagnant or still water. Common sites include puddles, old tires, birdbaths, flowerpots, tree holes, and clogged gutters. These areas provide ideal conditions for larvae to develop before emerging as adult mosquitoes. Standing water that remains for several days allows the mosquito life cycle to complete. Eliminating or regularly emptying such containers and ensuring proper drainage helps prevent mosquito populations from multiplying, reducing the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.
