Moroni
Moroni is a key figure in the Book of Mormon, considered a prophet and military leader. He was the last among a group of ancient American prophets who believed in Jesus Christ. Moroni is best known for writing and abridging the records that became the Book of Mormon and for his efforts to preserve and protect his people during times of conflict. After the fall of his civilization, he became the angel who visited Joseph Smith in the 19th century, guiding him to the golden plates that contained the scripture. Moroni symbolizes faith, perseverance, and the transmission of sacred truth.
