Mormon pioneers
Mormon pioneers were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who, between 1846 and 1869, migrated westward across North America to settle in Utah and surrounding regions. Facing persecution and seeking religious freedom, they undertook arduous journeys in covered wagons, often enduring harsh conditions and limited supplies. Their migration helped establish enduring communities and contributed to the westward expansion of the United States. Their perseverance and faith played a significant role in shaping the cultural and social history of the American frontier.
