Morgoth
Morgoth, originally named Melkor, is a powerful and malevolent being from J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth legendarium. Once the most mighty of the Valar (angelic spirits), he turned to evil out of pride and a desire for domination. Morgoth corrupted or destroyed much of the world and its inhabitants, unleashing chaos and darkness. His actions set the stage for many conflicts in Middle-earth, including the rise of evil creatures like Orcs and Dragons. Essentially, Morgoth is the embodiment of evil and corruption, whose influence persists long after his defeat.
