Moral Theory

Moral theory is the study of how we determine what is right and wrong. It seeks to understand the principles and reasons behind our ethical beliefs and actions. Different theories, like consequentialism (which focuses on outcomes), deontology (which emphasizes duties), and virtue ethics (which highlights character), offer frameworks for making moral decisions. These theories aim to guide us in living ethically, resolving moral dilemmas, and understanding the nature of moral values. Essentially, moral theory provides structured ways to think about how we ought to act and what it means to lead a good and just life.
