Montrose Chemical Corporation

Montrose Chemical Corporation was a major manufacturer of the pesticide DDT in Los Angeles from the 1940s to the 1980s. The company produced large quantities of DDT, which was widely used for pest control but later found to cause environmental and health issues due to its persistence and toxicity.
