Monsoons
Monsoons are seasonal winds that bring significant changes in weather, primarily characterized by heavy rainfall. They occur in various parts of the world, notably in South Asia. Monsoons develop due to temperature differences between land and ocean; during warm months, the land heats up faster than the sea, causing air pressure to drop over land. This change causes moist air from the ocean to be drawn inland, leading to intense rainfall. Monsoons are vital for agriculture, replenishing water supplies, but can also lead to flooding and other challenges.
