Monocoque

Monocoque is a structural design approach where the outer shell or skin of a vehicle or object carries most of the load and provides strength, eliminating the need for a separate internal frame. Originating from French, meaning "single shell," this technique distributes stress across the entire surface, making the structure lightweight yet strong. It’s commonly used in aircraft, cars, and boat hulls to reduce weight, improve performance, and enhance rigidity. Essentially, the external surface acts as both the enclosure and support, resulting in a streamlined and efficient design.
