Monitoring the Future (MTF) Study
The Monitoring the Future (MTF) Study is a long-term research project conducted annually to assess substance use and attitudes among American adolescents and young adults. It surveys a nationally representative sample of students to track trends in behaviors related to alcohol, drugs, and tobacco, as well as attitudes toward these substances. The goal is to understand how usage patterns evolve over time, identify risk factors, and inform policy and prevention efforts to promote healthier decision-making among youth.
