Mongolian script

The Mongolian script is an ancient writing system traditionally used to write the Mongolian language. It is a vertical script that flows from top to bottom and from left to right, with characters that change shape depending on their position in a word. Unlike alphabetic scripts, it employs a combination of characters that represent sounds and syllables. Historically, it was the primary script for Mongolian texts until the 20th century, when Latin and Cyrillic scripts became more common.
