Mongolian Gazelle

The Mongolian gazelle (Procapra gutturosa) is a species of antelope native to Mongolia and northern China. It is adapted to arid, steppe environments and is known for its remarkable migrations, sometimes traveling hundreds of kilometers in search of grass and water. These agile animals have slender bodies, light brown coats, and curved horns. They play a crucial role in their ecosystem by aiding grassland health through grazing. Mongolian gazelles are social animals, often moving in large herds, and are considered an important species for the conservation of Central Asian steppe biodiversity.
