MOND (Modified Newtonian Dynamics)

Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) is a scientific theory proposing that the laws of gravity change at very low accelerations, such as those found in the outer regions of galaxies. While Newton's laws work well on Earth and within the Solar System, they struggle to explain the observed speeds of stars orbiting galaxy centers without assuming unseen dark matter. MOND suggests gravity becomes stronger than expected in these weak-field regions, allowing stars to move faster without extra mass. While controversial and not fully accepted, MOND offers an alternative explanation to dark matter for certain galactic phenomena.
