Molecule

A molecule is the smallest unit of a chemical compound that retains its properties, formed when two or more atoms bond together through chemical bonds. Atoms, which are the basic building blocks of matter, can combine in various ways to create molecules. For example, a water molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom joined together. Molecules can be simple, like oxygen gas (O₂), or complex, like those in proteins and DNA. They are fundamental to chemistry and biology, forming the basis of everything around us.
