Moiré Effect

The Moiré Effect occurs when two repetitive patterns, such as grids or lines, are overlaid with slight differences in spacing, angle, or size. These small discrepancies create a new, larger pattern of interference that appears to move or shimmer, even though the original patterns are static. This optical illusion is commonly seen in printed images, digital screens, or when photographing textured surfaces. The effect results from the interference between the overlapping patterns, causing the viewer to perceive visual artifacts that can be intriguing or distracting depending on the context.
