Mohr titration

Mohr titration is a laboratory method used to determine the concentration of chloride ions in a sample. It involves adding a silver nitrate solution to the sample containing chloride ions until all chloride has reacted with the silver. An indicator called potassium chromate is used; it signals the end point by changing color once all chloride ions have reacted, indicating the amount of chloride present. This technique is precise and commonly used in water testing and clinical chemistry to measure chloride levels accurately.
