Mohd. Ali Pasha
Mohamed Ali Pasha was an influential Ottoman Albanian ruler who became the de facto leader of Egypt in the early 19th century. Often called the founder of modern Egypt, he implemented significant reforms in the military, economy, and education to strengthen the region’s independence and development. By modernizing infrastructure and reorganizing governance, he transformed Egypt into a more autonomous and competitive state within the Ottoman Empire. His leadership laid the groundwork for Egypt’s modernization efforts, although his rule was also marked by authoritarian control and military campaigns to expand his influence.
