Mohammad Ghori

Mahmud of Ghazni (not Mohammad Ghori) was a prominent 11th-century ruler who expanded the Ghaznavid Empire into northern India through numerous invasions, establishing Islamic influence in the region. Conversely, Mohammad Ghori, also known as Muhammad of Ghor, was a 12th-century Muslim ruler from Central Asia who played a key role in northern India’s history. He defeated Indian kingdoms such as the Prithviraj Chauhan and laid the groundwork for Muslim dominance in northern India. Ghori's campaigns significantly shaped Indian history by initiating the establishment of Muslim rule that eventually led to the Delhi Sultanate.
